My Gardening House provides all our customers with personalized service, and quality products of excellent workmanship.

Our Nursery is located in Grangerland, Texas and our plants are available in the continental United States by mail order, through this website.  

Please Read Before Ordering 

 
When To Order 

 

Fall Orders: To allow for fall planting, we ship late September through the end of October, weather permitting.  It is a good idea to phone in late orders, so we have enough time to get your plants to you before shipping season ends. We make very few exceptions to our shipping dates. We do not ship plants from November through February.  My Gardening House plants have been carefully nurtured and we don't want to jeopardize their health and happiness!

Spring Orders: Spring shipping begins around March 1st and usually finishes up in late June. We pay attention to what the weather is doing in your area before we send your shipment. It is against our policy to expose plants in transit to unseasonably warm or frigid conditions. Ground service to the east coast can take up to 8 days. Unless projected temperature forecasts along ground transit routes are deemed safe for plant shipment, we recommend using FedEx 2nd or 3rd Day Air.
 
Summer Orders: Summer shipping begins around June and finishes up in last September.

My Gardening House provides secure online ordering for your convenience through PayPal.
 
Ordering by e-mail, fax or regular mail:

 
  • If you e-mail your order, we will e-mail back a message of confirmation. Print a copy of that message, enclose your check, money order, or credit card information and send it to us regular mail.
  • For regular mail orders please feel free to make a copy of our order form (PDF). Enclose the form plus your check, money order or Visa-MasterCard information with regular mail orders. Include credit card information with fax orders.
  • Be sure to include your complete billing address and shipping address, if it is different, and your daytime phone number. We cannot ship to APO addresses or post office boxes
 

        Shipping

Unless requested otherwise by the customer, we ship the majority of our plants by FedEx and UPS Ground service.  If time is of essence, or weather and plant growth dictates, FedEx Express Air is utilized for faster service. Under certain circumstances, we may use U.S. Priority Mail or other methods of transportation. We charge $10.00 for packing plus the actual cost of  shipping when plants are sent by air.

 We ship our plants at the proper planting time in your area according to the USDA Hardiness Zone Map. All orders require a street address. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to APO/FPO military address or Post Office address.

We ship all orders by UPS on Mondays. Orders placed by Saturday at noon are shipped on Monday. We do not ship to PO Boxes. Please let us know prior to ordering if UPS does not deliver to your address.

 We ship plants all year. However, we recommend shipping to your area only when minimum night temperatures are consistently above 42 degrees F. Damage due to cold temperatures and delays is at customer’s risk. Please let us know if you would like us to hold your order until warmer weather in spring. Note that some plants are only available seasonally and we may not be able to reserve some plants for long periods. We will notify you if this is the case.

Damage to plants must be reported with five days of receipt of shipment.

We do accept orders by mail. Shipping cost can be calculated by entering your plants into the shopping cart and then inputting your zip code or you can contact us for the shipping cost. Please contact us if you want to confirm plant availability before ordering. Texas residents must include 8.25% sales tax.

We do not ship plants outside the US. Prices are subject to change without notice. We do not sell wholesale.

Shipment of Plants

We use UPS delivery service to ship plants directly to your doorstep in just a matter of days, saving you time and money. 

Shipping Rates

Shipping charges will be charge at two different rates depending of which part of the US plants will be sent to.  If your zip code if greater than 80000 (west coast) please see schedule #1.  For zip codes less than 80000 (east coast) please see #2 below.

1)    ZIP CODES GREATER THAN 80000

        UPS Ground --------- $12 or 12%, whichever is greater

        UPS 2nd Day air -----$30 or 30%, whichever is greater

 2)    ZIP CODES LESS THAN 80000

        UPS 3rd Day Air -----$30 or 33%, whichever is greater

        UPS Ground --$20 or 20%, whichever is greater

*Shipping by UPS ground  to zip codes less than 80000 may only be possible during certain times of the year due to hot / cold weather conditions.   

 

  Payment   

Credit cards are charged at time of shipping. However, we do charge cards if an order is held due to weather conditions.

We list the quantity of the plants we have in stock and we strive to keep an accurate inventory. However, some plants will occasionally be out of stock. Out of stock plants will be deleted from your order before shipping. We do not substitute for out of stock plants unless you indicate which plants to substitute when you place your order. However, we will substitute quart size pots in place of gallon size pots, of the same plant, when the gallon size is out of stock. Please list plant substitutions (or other comments) in the comment box when placing your order.  

Payment is due at time of order. We accept Visa and MasterCard through PayPal. Personal checks and money orders are to be mailed to My Gardening House 16995 West Greenleaf Lane Conroe, Texas 77306. Orders purchased with personal checks will be held 7 days to ensure check clearance, unless cleared through PayPal. . Credit cards will be processed when we send your order. Don't forget to include shipping charges. No cash, please unless plants are picked up at nursery.
 
 When You Receive Your Order

Our plants are guaranteed to be top quality and true to name. We take great care in packing them well. When you receive your box, unpack plants immediately (and carefully) and water thoroughly. Plant as soon as possible and give them special attention for a week or two. Remember, they've been removed from their pots, packed inside a dark box, shipped off to parts unknown (hopefully right-side-up) and now are plopped into a new garden amongst a bunch of strangers. You'd feel insecure, too!
 

       Claims

 ClaimsaaaAll claims must be made immediately upon receipt of your order. If we have made a mistake we will do our best to correct the situation. My Gardening House does not assume responsibility for plants damaged in transit. When damage is apparent, claims must be filed with the carrier. In no case will our liability exceed the price of plants purchased.
